Privacy policy

AirconDrop ("we", "us") operates aircondrop.co.uk. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your rights under UK GDPR.

What we collect

• Email address — only when you sign up for alerts. Used to send you the alerts you asked for.
• Basic access logs — IP address (hashed at collection), user agent, page visited. Used for security and aggregate analytics.
• No cookies for analytics — we use Plausible, which is cookieless.

How we use it

• Send you restock alerts you subscribed to.
• Detect and prevent abuse (rate limiting, spam detection).
• Understand aggregate traffic patterns.

Who we share it with

• Resend (transactional email provider) — receives your email address only when we send you an alert.
• Neon (database host, EU region) — stores subscriber records.
• Sentry (error reporting) — may receive request metadata if an error occurs. Never receives your email address.
• We do NOT sell your data. We do NOT share it with retailers.

Retention

• Snapshots and click logs: 30 days.
• Unconfirmed signups: 7 days.
• Confirmed subscribers: until you unsubscribe. After unsubscribe, we keep only a hashed record to prevent accidental re-adds.

Your rights

You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data at any time. Email hello@aircondrop.co.uk.

Email tracking and outbound links

Alert emails sent via Resend may include tracking pixels and click-tracking for individual links. This lets us confirm delivery and detect bounces. You can disable image loading in your email client to opt out of open tracking.

When you click a "View deal" link, you are redirected via the retailer's own URL (sometimes via an affiliate network). We log the click for commission attribution; we do not receive your identity or any personal data from the retailer in return.

Cookies

We do not set analytics cookies. Resend may set a session cookie if you view a web version of an email. Our own pages use no first-party cookies beyond any set by Next.js for server-side rendering (session-less; no personal data).
